About | RH Brown

RH Brown Company, an independent systems integrator with a deep history in the Pacific Northwest is widely recognized as one of the country’s premier material handling system integration companies. It was founded in 1911 selling bicycles and miscellaneous industrial equipment, but as the business evolved, it included a wide variety of industrial supplies and material handling equipment.

In 2021, RH Brown Co. became a part of Bastian Solutions, a Toyota Automated Logistics company. A fourth-generation family-owned material handling solution provider, RH Brown Co. has offices in Seattle, Washington and Portland, Oregon. Founded in 1911, as Washington Cycle and Supply Co. in Tacoma, WA by Richard H. Brown, the company primarily sold bicycles and miscellaneous industrial equipment.

Years later, a partnership between Stan Larsen and Richard H. Brown was established and the name changed from Washington Cycle and Supply Co. to RH Brown Company to better represent the wide variety of industrial supplies and material handling equipment offered by the company. Soon after, Stan's son Richard Larsen joined the business.

In 2006, R. Scott Larsen, grandson of Stan Larsen and son of Richard Larsen, took the helm becoming the fourth-generation to lead RH Brown. In 2021, RH Brown celebrated its 110th anniversary year and in November 2021, announced a partnership with Bastian Solutions, a Toyota Advanced Logistics company.
